I would really like to get some shrimp maybe RCS for my new planted tank but I dose it with TNC lite fert which has 0.002% Cu. I also have a Tetra Complete Substrate but I can't find the chemical analysis anywhere so I don't know if it contains copper.
Would shrimp be ok in there?
(Please answer in poll and leave comments below, thanks)

I'm sure the non lite has nitrites nitrate and phosphate which do don't they or am I wrong?

It does, but no. Nitrates and Phosphates don't cause algae. Ammonia does and treating the cause of the ammonia (or avoiding it altogether) prevents it. :good:

Most algae is caused by fluctuations in levels, not the actual ferts and CO2 itself.
