Shredded Fins?

My red eyed red swordtail male has a shredded dorsal fin will it heal or will he die?? The Female actually picks on him and chases him, I think she may have caused the damage.... I've been using melafix do you think it will help?

The melafix will help, he should do fine.

how long do you think it will take to heal? He is still eating but seems a bit week.

Melafix saved my attacked bristol nose plec. She had five or so deep bite wounds on her and she was healed in two weeks. Follow the directions on the bottle exactly. Remember to change your water after 7days like it says. The only prob I have found with melafix is that the water clarity gets dirty.

But it works.

You should start seeing improvements in two or three days.

Someone reccomended I remove him the a qt tank. Maybe I'll have to go buy one now. is a 1 gallon big enough?
