Hi i have had my pair of discus for about a year and a half now. They breed about twice a month and have gotten the fry up to wriggler stage on many occasions. The first time the breed i was so excited and i put up my 30 gallon as a breeder tank. But the pair has now shown me that they do not (mostly the male) want to raise the fry. My male also does not let any other discus in the tank as he is very protective of his female. But when the female lays eggs the male begins to attack her. But i would love some more discus. So my question is do you think i should sell the male and buy a couple smaller ones and let the female pick a new mate. I love this idea but it pains me to split them up as they do not leave each others side at all while schooling around. Please feel free to leave your thoughts and comments
