Should I Replace My Angels?

Evening all

My two angels are really doing my head in! They've polished off my cherry shrimps, one picks on the other, they terrorise everything else in the tank, they even harass my apple snail until it poos and then eats the poo!

Am thinking of getting shot of them...

Questions - do you think my LFS (Maidenhead Aquatics) would take 'em back?

and are there any peaceful gouramis that are 3-4" long and are not aggressive that would take there place?

Would prob get a few more tetras to stop 'em turning nippy too.

maiden head will do anything take them back and they will xchange for 2 more fish

I believe most Maidenheads will take fish in you might not get anything for them though. As for Gouramis you have a decent amount of choice, the most peaceful ones are the pearls which I reckon would look good in your tank but then an other nice medium sized one is the orange thick lipped which is a linebred fish (for colour, the lips are normal) and they are like a rusty orange colour but really bright. They are not the kissers and stay a bit smaller around 4 inches I believe.

With regards to rehoming agressive fish, if its effecting how you feel about your tank I think its for the best. 99% of the time I have a rehome the aggressor rule in my tanks I think its for the best in the cases Ive done it.

Have actually found a cherry shrimp alive, well and bigger this morning. Maybe they didn't get them all!

I had 5 angels and funnily enough only one was a bully towards everything else in the tank, clearly they all have very different temperements like dogs do!
