Should I Give Up?

i have 1 dwarf puffer in a 15 gallon, its a male, and i am waiting to get 2 females from my lfs, they come in tommorrow

BUT

he's not eating anything, i have offered him freeze dried foods, the only live foods ive offered are snails and ghost shrimp*he doesnt even bother them, he is eating the snails out of the shells, hes probably had about 4-5

other than that he wont eat, ive tried these : frozen brine shrimp, krill,ghost shrimp, blood worms *not live*, flakes, some betta foods, peas, i have even tried a left over rotifer *not sure how to spell it* that i had from my guppy fry


is there anything else i can try *i am trying to get my hands on black worms and live blood worms at the moment*'

what is his belly like - is it concave or is it normal - also is it darker than normal? These are signs of a bacterial infection (I think).

Also - you said he has eaten about 4/5 snails out of the shells? Is that in one day? If so he should only eat about one a day and he probably isn't hungry anymore.

Personally, IMO, you know for sure he's eaten the snails, yes? If he has just keep feeding snails whilst trying to get; live bloodworm and blackworm.

Also as rob said, is the stomach 'shruken in' or normal.

its normal, and he has eaten them over the course of 2-4 days

im going to my for away fish store today for some live blood worms

Also DP's are bad about not eating when you first get them.
