Hi was looking at these fish and think there pretty cool, I was finking of having one in my 48 litre tank, with 2 honey guarmis and some otto catfish and maybe some guppies, will that be ok, or is the tank to small and the fish not compatable.

no not with guppies or gouramis

B.splendens (siamese fighting fish) are from the same family as the gouramis and should not be kept together due to aggression issues etc

and the betta may mistake the guppies for another betta so are not recommended, IMO you should buy a 20-30 litre tank, plant it up (with species suitable for the lighting) then add some cories (pygmy cories about 6) then add a betta (but filling the 20-30 litre with tank water from your current tank and a bit of filter media, will seed the tank) then you could instantly add the cories, then the betta but not at the same time.

take it you mean a Siamese fighting fish aka a betta?

It would depend entirely on the temperament of th betta as to whether this would work or not,

a betta and some ottos would give you the best chance of success, although a betta, 2 honeys and 3-4 ottos may also work, you could also drop the honeys in favour of some shrimp or snails or even african dwarf frogs.

mixing guppys and a betta is not suggested as sometimes the betta will mistake guppys for bettas and attack them.

ok then cant get another tank lol so looks like no fighting fish lol
