Hi all,

This is the first time I've ordered plants off the internet so I'm not really sure what condition I should expect the plants to arrive in...

Heres he first three pots of HC

Two pots of Hydrocotyle verticillata

Two pots of Cryptocoryne beckettii

and finally three pots of Lilaeopsis brasiliensis

I've not contacted the supplier yet, and I'm not really blaming them as yet cos I think there has been some unforeseen delays. I just wan to see if ppl think the condition is acceptable.

Thanks in advance!

looks like they havent been packaged very well...but they looked to be in poor condition from the beginning IMO.

the HC is revivable though.

also the mail has been slow too due to the bank holiday

Yeah, originally it was supposed to be sent on Wednesday, but there was a problem. So I was told it was sent on Thursday and would arrive on Friday... but obviously didn't.

Do you think it's worth contact the supplier and asking about replacements?

wouldnt hurt just see what they say

yeah i would...the goods arent to standard...did they come from the aquatic room?

Ahum... not sure that I should say...

I'm not blaming them as they did have to sit in a box longer than intended...

Yeah, the other too look ok(ish) but wasn't sure.

I've had a reply from the supplier and they are resending my order, which I'm very happy about! I'll be less a pot of Lilaeopsis brasiliensis as they only have 2pots in atm, but will gain some pots of HC.

Should be here by Thursday next week, barring any further delivery complications! I'll post up some more picture when they arrive.

good to hear

Do you have to return the current plants? Or will the replacements be sent on top of the current ones?

If so you should put all the first batch into your tank (still in pots), see if you can rejuvenate them and then sell them on when your new batch arrive. :D

They've not mentioned anything about sending them back. I pretty much put the original plants straight into the tank when they arrived.

Some of them aren't so back, like the HC and the Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. I actually didn't expect to to get the whole order resent... just the ones that looked nearly dead. I will use any survivers as this was only to be the first batch of plants anyway.

Hi guys,

I received the replacement plants yesterday and they look a hell of a lot better than the first lot of plants!

I'm very happy with the service that I've received from The Aquatic Room and I accept that the initial problem was caused by a delay on a delivery and exacerbated by the bank hoilday. They have sent out replacement plants with a couple of extra for the inconvenience. The communication was very good too, and they offer and comfirm alternatives when ordered plants are unavailable.
