Should I Add Powerheads?

Having a black substrate fish waste shows easily. I was thinking of adding 2 powerheads on one end of my tank to push the waste to the other end where my 2 filter intake tubes are. Do you think this is a good idea? Will it disturb the fish that like to pick at the sand? What size do you recommend for a 4 foot tank? Thanks!

I shall answer my own question then. I tried adding 2 powerheads but it created too much turbulence. So I added a single Hydor Koralia 425gph and all my fish except the Danios love it. And it does keep the sand cleaner and does not disturb any fish. Great idea!

I added a powerhead to my 55g and it really made a world of difference with moving the waste to where it could be filtered.

Would a hydor koralia really make a lot of difference to the sand being clean? If it does I would be tempted to get one myself. I have thought about adding an extra powerhead to my filter, but might go with the hydor thing.

My Hydor Koralia is on the left end of my tank and my filter intake tubes are on the right. Aimed just right the Koralia pushes the waste to the intake tubes where it gets picked up. It does make a difference!
