Should I Add More Fish?

Hi everyone! i was wanting to get some opinions on whether or not i should add more fish to my tank. i currently have 8x khuli loaches, 5x peppered cory, 12x cardinal, 14x harlequin rasbora, 2 long fin rams, and a pearl gourami(male). i was wondering if it would be ok to add either a farlowella catfish or a small pleco (a bristle nose or something around the same size), as well as perhaps another gourami or 2? (females) would a few more corys be ok as well, or am i pushing it? i'd really like to get a few more in there, but i don't want to stress the fish by overstocking.... :unsure:

also, would shrimp be ok, or would my rams bother them?
any/all input will be greatly appreciated!

i'm actually having some health problems in my tank atm (internal parasites i think), so i won't be getting anymore fish right now, but does anyone think i'd be ok with more in the future after my tank settles again?

You didn't say how big your tank is! And what is your pH?

oh! oops!

it's a 55g, pH of 7. first thing i'll be doing after my fish get healthy again is top up the numbers of harlequins & cardinals, as they are the ones that seem to be most affected in my tank.

Dimensions?

It's similar size to mine so I'd say up the shoals to 20 of each, and the cories to 8. You'd need to get at least 2 more gouramis, maybe even 3, to spread out any bullying from the male - he'd probably bully a single female or another male to death - so I'm not sure more of them would be a good idea. As for catfish, unsure - what's your filtration like? They are poop machines...

Shrimp would be eaten in a blink of an eye.

Unless they're African Armored Shrimp.

now that things in my tank have settled down, i'm going to have to start thinking of restocking soon... not for a few weeks, just in case, but soon. so you think there's room for 20 each of the harlequins and cardinals??? wouldn't that be a bit... crowded? :huh:

it'd look cool, but i want my fish to be happy too....
i was thinking of getting 2 female gouramis, as i realized that 1 would just get bullied. I may also have more corys on the way... one of the females recently laid eggs, wich i will be watching closely in the hopes that i'll have babies! :hyper:

i'vejust left them where they were laid, as i don't have anywhere else to put them at the moment... i will be picking up a breeding net for the future though! :lol:
