It's a pike cichlid, so it's not coming home here... I just thought the fish looked "happy" maybe he just ate a whole group of tetras, that wouldn't shoal

Those are fascinating fish - but I have only kept the dwarf ones. That guy does look happy. But my little Steatocranus gibbiceps from years ago was happier looking. He ate snails.

It's a personable face, but if he tells you he's a Brazilian prince who needs some cash to unlock an inheritance, don't be fooled. He's a predator.
