I'm planing on getting a Betta online and I don't want to spend $30 on shipping so the place offers Priority Mail for $10 but it takes 2-3 days for the fish to get to my house so would it be safe for it to be in the mail that long? Thanks.

id think hed be fine, especially in the warmer weather months.
these guys often get shipped from far away places and can and do survive the transport for up to a week or more.
the only thing is if you do get a DOA, you probably wont be reimbursed for you money if you use priority (and not express/overnight)...so think of the extra $20 you'd be spending on the faster shipment as insurance..they would replace the DOA, but youd STILL have to pay to get it shipped again(another $30 for express/overnight)...i use the priority and havent had a problem. if the fish are leaving the seller as healthy fish, they should do just fine! (also consider what day they ship...make sure it is early in the week so they dont sit in post over the weekend when there is no delivery...means they'll be in the box less time).
GOOD LUCK!

that sounds great. as long as it doesnt have to spend the weekend in shipping(or if youre in the states, as long as its not sitting on the sunday of the week...dont know if there is weekend post over seas).
cheers
