So i've just got a 4 foot tank and am wanting to put some sharks (silver, rainbow and albino) in there but want to know how many are usually safe together and what other types of fish can go in with them?

silver sharks will get too big and uually require a 6 foot tank, although they can pretty much go with anything from what i have found as there quite peaceful fish. have never really kept the others so cant really comment.

Ive had 3 different sharks, the red tail, albino, and silver...And I have had to part with the red and albino as they are very territorial! Every time a fish went anywhere near it, they chased them away and it was getting annoying as most of my fish stayed up the 1 end to get away from them!

But the silver I have now, although only a youngster, are very easy going fish, dont give any of my other fish any grief, they just get on with swimming and eating

As said the Silver sharks get really big and need massive tanks, but in a 4 foot tank you could have a group of rose line sharks or denison barbs :) As for the RTBS and the ablino RTBS you need to pick between the two as they are very intolerant of more than one in a tank and you will get one dominant and one that is constantly stressed and ill looking. If its to go with the stocking in your signature in the 42g the rose sharks will be okay but the red tails sometimes are a bit nasty small fish like your neons and cherries.

Wills :)

I had an albino and red tail, not together, and they werent the nicest to other fish on their own let alone with more of the same breed in their tank
