It will be interesting to see what colors will emerge as he grows. I suspect the dark areas will deepen really nice.

5 betta, wow! Do you keep any other fish?

I have 11 tanks with fish in them at the moment and 13 total.

This is Neptune (Neppy) the day I got him home last year. He changes in colour throughout the day from red-purple-pink-blue. We only really have vail tails and crowns available where I live.

Yes, it's a 5 gallon all for him and his bestie Shelly (Mystery Snail). In the future, I would like to upgrade him to my 16 gallon that is sitting in the shed as I have been saving it for him for when I have the room for it. I'm very lucky to have him. I saw him in my LPS when I went to get crickets for my lizard and I fought the urge to get him because I knew I didn't have the room for him at that time. 2 weeks later I went back after making some room for a betta and he was still there! I guess it was just meant to be.

Here are some 4 week old Splenden fry. They're much too small and fast to get a decent picture of, especially when your phone camera is as useless as mine

10 gallons. Yep, it’s all for him. I tried to get some shrimp, but then I missed feeding him dinner once and he got hungry and ate them... so it’s just him and his little snail snail buddies now.

Okay calling on all betta owners.

We need to convince @HoldenOn to go get themselves a betta, to get another tank going (promoting MTS, im terrible). Use filter media from current tank to insta-cycle a new 5 gal

Thought I might share all my males here
In order they are Polaris, Blinkin*, Goose, and Moscato. I also have three females but I’m not keeping them so I did not include them.

*blinkin came from a petsmart in a tiny cup and he is almost completely blind so his eyes are filmed over so if anyone has any tips for blind betta care that would be helpful. Up until a few weeks ago I had a female with only one eye but she’d passed away
