Sexing Pearl Gouramis

Without a doubt, left one (top pic) is the male and right one the female.... Check the diffs in dorsal fins... pointed male... rounded female....

I bought them both online and my knowledge of Gouramis is not great are they usually sold in a breeding pair ie male and female and is having two same sex gouramis an issue?

No issue having same sex Gouramies.... When ready to breed, your male will display a beautiful red breast area, and the female will be yellowish..... but of course the bubble nest will be no mistaking....

Thanks for the replies that will be something to look foprward too i'm going tio have to go and have a look at them both again now

The look quite small and both look female currently.

How ever their relatively easy to sex, with the males developing longer dorsal fins and the anal fins is slightly more elongates.
When mature male develop a strong reddish body colour.

These are relatively easy to breed as well.
