Severyum Or Acara

im my 75 gallon tank iv got
3 small angels
3 gouramis
few tetras
2 clown loaches
4 platys
could i add a severum or acara???
i no it might eat the tetras when fully grow but hey you've gotta take the risk sometimes
if no then what else do you suggest i add with the listed above which is fairly big and not aggressive

personal opinion is if you want either youre gonna have to lose the tetras as they will make a nice snack. deffinately the acara id say 50/50 with the severum but not worth the risk imo

Severum is nicer IMO but you will have to swap the tetras and Harlequins for some bigger shoaling fish like Black Widows or bigger again in Rainbows or Congos.

I'd go for acara as its smaller. I've had a severum and the size and girth they obtain is truly impressive, in a tank with 3 angels and (potentially large, don't know species) gourami's I think the severum will just dominate the space.

If you do go for an acara becareful on what you buy, especially if you decide on a blue acara, renowned for being misidentified with a green terror which would for sure mess up your tank.

whichever you go for i would deffo swap thee tetras for some larger shoaling fish just to be safe

for the larger shaoling fish i would go for either congo tetra or giant danios and i would go for a severum for sure really are stunning fish ...wish i still had mine
