Does anyone know of any smaller 'dither' fish that can go with a severum? Cichlid or anything else in general, just wondering if there are any smaller fish that can hang with a severum without the sev trying to eat them?

Thanks

the smallest fish I have with my red severum are a pair of Ctenopoma acutirostre

After a little search on the net, a mojority of the information I've found says that the Ctenopoma acutirostre is a type of climbing perch, is that right? At 5-8 inches, that's a little bigger than what I had in mind. Plus, I think I would have a hard time finding them locally, given my selection of LFS.

I thought maybe there could be something smaller - could a single convict possibly work out? Are there any other cichlids or tropical fish that could work with a severum for a tankmate?

8" is a big larger for a C.acutirostre more like 6 for a male and 5 for a female.

hmm
how about elegant rasbora rasbora elegans, Clown Rasbora Rasbora kalachroma, malabar danio Devario malabaricus,
yoma danio danio feegradei or Danio Sp. hikari.

all of which are going to be big enough to not be eaten and fast enough not to get nipped.
