Severum Stocking?

I want a severum, but just have a standard size 29 US gallon tank. Is it enough space? If so, can I put any other cichlids in there with it? I was wanting a few electric yellows, but will they get eaten? I would have quite a few artificial hiding places, fake plants on rough gravel substrate. Any help?

29 gal is too small for a severum.

You can get away with a 55 gal for one. But it might out grow that in a year or so. A 75 gal is good or bigger.

75g min for a common severum, heros efasciatus which can reach 12", you could get away with a 55g for a smaller species like a rotkeil which reach 8".
