im thinking of getting a red severum, a real nice one and putting it in my 4ft tank with my bichir (named "bicherio")
i was wondering
could i keep another a gold severum too? possibly a green one?
so mix them up without worrying about hybridising?

I love my Red Severum ! I keep him alone. I believe you could get a pair. You may get better results posting this in the New World Cichlid section. There is also a pinned topic on the Severum in that section.

yeah ive decided if i get one then il keep it as a single severum,, and introduce a few other NW cichlids

Some sevs do get as large as 12 inches but more commonly 8", so I would add no more than two other medium sized cichlids or else they'll be cramped for territory.
I'd recommend weekly water changes because they'll be a lot of waste if not.
Sevs are mainly herbivorous while senegals are mainly carnivorous so not the best mix, just make sure each get their type of food.
