Sorry i knew that, i was just wondering at what point would the unfertilised ones turn white? The reason being im not sure if i have two females or a male and a female.

You may very well find at least some will go mouldy thats normal, done good so far, I only had about 4-5 mouldy ones which turned yesterday, now i have wrigglers.......good luck for you mate

Im really hoping it works out, how long did it take for yours to hatch?

Its wierd there are no white ones yet as i thought both were female, but after studying them one has a bigger chest like my male gold one. Worst scenario is if it doesnt work out and they are females ill get a male from a shop and hoppefully have babies lol

Looks like my gut instinct was right and they are both females. 95% of the eggs have now gonw white and have been cleared off, next course of action is to get a male !!!!

Well after the some what dissapointment of finding out i had two females, i had an interesting discussion with a sev breeder today and have decided to see how the golds and greens will get on together. The divider has been removed for a few hours and they seem fine, sure the male is in heaven with 3 females.

Heres hoping he decides he likes one and it goes from there.

Any one got an idea what the fry would be like if it did work out?

A few years ago one of my sons had a pair - a green female & a gold male. The two bred and there were babies of both colors, if memory serves.

Cool, think im going to have to split them up again they just arent getting along and the female i put back in the community tank is being harrassed even tho she lived in there for AGES
