Set Up My Tank!

Ooooh yay yay!!! After lots of hang ups such as supports and making sure its leveled I finally filled my 30g tank!!! It has all artificial plantd for now but I was thinking some mangroves. Its got a 75/90 hang on the back filter..(brain fart cant remembered whats called lol). A nice heater. And a led light that has a night time and full day settings!!

Its now full and cycling using filter from my daughters tank....hubbys trying to talk me into a fish in cycle but to me thats so mean. So im gonna do it using ammonia. Hope it dosent take as long as hers though!!! I dont wanna wait 9 weeks!!! *sigh.

I havent quite decided how many of what fish yet. Google tells me all kinds of things. My local fish stores a bit here and there. Maybe you could help me out?

I know I want figure 8 puffer. Im thinking 2?
id love knight gobys maybe 1m 2f?
mollys. Maybe 1 black 1 white. Both female?
And a dragon goby.

Now...I know kinda takin chance and personalitys could work...or might not. Im hoping ill haveluck and find a dragon that stays on the smaller side. If not hubby says we can get a bigger tank for upstairs. I was thinking might help terratory wise to do mollys first then gobys and last my puffers.

2 figure 8's will just about stock your tank, the puffer forum recommends 15(US)G for the 1st & 10(US)G for each one after. Some report aggressive figure 8's that won't tolerate tank mates but mine are docile and were actually bullied by a halfbeak. They always seem to get on with bumblebee gobies but they may work with Knights although if you get aggressive puffers they might find the flashy dorsal fins tempting!
Salinity wise most of your choices have similar requirements but I do think that the dragons will prefer a higher level than the others on your list.

I have read up on mangroves and they would have to be mainly out of the water so they would ether go out the top, which would make it hard to keep jumping fish in, or you would have to have a half empty tank. I would put in fully aquatic plants or else go with a mudskipper tank which need a half emty tank any ways. Hope what ever you do works for you.
