I can't afford a pressurised CO2 system at the moment, in one tank I'm using the yeast and sugar system, but I just saw a SERA CO2-Start thingy in my LFS. It's a little plastic diffuser and soluble tablets. £20 gets you the hardware and 2 months supply of the tablets. You just bung a tablet in the diffuser every 2 to 4 days depending on the size of your tank and it bubbles up and provides 100ml of CO2 which sits in the diffuser and, er, diffuses. No tubes/valves/gas cylinders. I've bought one, but would like to hear from anyone else who might have tried it.
