My adult senegal bichir has had a strange lump on her side for a while now (2 weeks or so) it is about 1" long and about 2" from her head - it starts where her dorsal fins start. It is on her side but at the top nearer her back than her belly and is quite obvious, raised out about 1cm - I've got pics which I'll add later as they are still on the camera.
She is swimming and eating normally, has a varied diet of pellets, prawns, bloodworm and algae wafers and is otherwise behaving totally normal, the lump is under the skin, not cut or damaged at all just lumpy.
I got this bichir as an adult about 4 months ago and don't know much about her prior history or diet.
Any ideas?
