I'm selling my 10 gallon tetra tank to a friend of mine. My gourami is going to my uncle and the whole setup, tetras and all, is going to my friend. She told me to name my price. I added up how much everything cost me when I bought it and it came out to $160. We have had this tank for 5 years at least. The heater and the air pump are newer, about 2 years old. How much should I sell this tank for? Is $100 reasonable? Or should I go lower?

I'd do $75 and if she says no explain how much everything costs new. :good:

I'd suggest a more realistic $40/50.

True, this is why most buy secondhand, new tanks are PRICEY :)

But maybe not as pricey as this used one!

I'd suggest more like $30. Didn't you say this was your friend?? I might sell it to a complete stranger for $50-60, but not my friend. Sorry.

I've just sold an 8 gallon for £55 used condition but only about 2 month old. I would go lower with your price... :good:

It's worth however much someone will pay for it! Start at a high price and get them to haggle it down to what theyre happy to pay. I've sold spare tanks to friends before and I don't go cheap on them, I try to get as much as I'd charge a stranger!
