ok, i have a 17.6 gallon tank im setting up for a kribensis pair, because they probably will be to agressive for my 130 gallon tank, but now i have a problem, i need to keep the baby kribs for about 5 or 6 months before they are sellable, and the kribs spawn every couple weeks, and they see the other brood as a threat to the new brood. and i dont have another tank that i can 'store' the babys in until i can sell them.

also, is 5 or 6 months the earliest i can sell them, or can i sell them earlier?

A lot really depends on your local fish store Mr130. You can sell them at whatever size they are willing to take.

ok, ill talk to them, but the main lfs near me only takes fish from a certain company in florida. maybe the other ones will take them, and if i have to, the other lfs will gladly take donations.

As a rule the big chains are committed to buying from certain distributors, but the smaller, independent stores often buy from their customers. If you find one who will, you will often get the best deal if you take a credit slip against future purchases rather than cash. If you buy much food and supplies, not to mention fish, this is the way to go.

thats a very good idea, i sort of want to breed them to make them pay for themselves, so if i am getting credit then i dont have to buy the food, and then maybe i can spoil them.

You will be doing a lot of breeding before you make the hobby self supporting. I just try to offset some of my expenses by selling rarer fish at club auctions. The common fish just don't have the draw of something rare or unusual. The only problem with my plan is that there are so many nie fish at an auction that I don't already have. That usually means I can't break even at the auction. C'est la vie.
