Tropica hands down for me. Although both are very good and i'd swear by either if you wanted to pick one, but for me the reputation and knowledge the boys at Tropica have is phenominal.

Well, you're asking to compare something that only doses trace with something that doses Macros as well. For that reason, I pick TPN+

Well yes, theres that too. I've never noticed a massive difference when i dosed either, Tropica before and then i downgraded to Seachem as its cheaper.

Tropica, simply because of the brand name and the fact they pretty much soley deal with plants.

They're problem the same, but I feel happier with Tropica to be honest.

2 different products, if you don't want to dose macros, then flourish. If you want macros, then TPN plus.

there's a flaw in the pole, and for that reason...i'm out.

If i have a fully stocked aquarium with fish and heavy planted should i go for Seachem flourish or TPN since the TPN+ has phosphate & nitrogen and I can get that from the fish right?

Like almost everyone before me stated, you should of asked Flourish vs. TPN .. not TPN+.......... different things so im a null vote.

Changed topic to Seachem Flourish VS TPN.

BTW Seachem flourish has Phosphate and Nitrogen whilst TPN does not have these elements. My aquarium will be heavily stocked with plants and fully stocked with fish so I do not really need Nitrogen and Phosphate.

The other flaw is the fact that with the pole a whole entire market is excluded... The US cannot get TPN+. So I cannot vote either.

Llj. You'll hate me for being very pedantic but Flourish does contain N and P too. Just at much much lower levels than TPN+ :)

It's not really a poll that can be done meaningfully.

Tropica is hard to get outside of Europe. Seachem is pretty expensive in Europe and much cheaper in the US.

Topica do a with and without N and P.

Seachem do a with only (although very weak)

So what are we polling between?

The poster above. Just because you are stocked does not mean you don't need N and P. It is a case of try it and see. Hevily planted I would suggest you definately need something at some time.

More likely it is N and P you will need to add. fish food and waste should have enough trace in it. After all trace means 'not a lot' needed :)

N and P are the biggies.

So the poll is a big fat fail

Not really:

If you live in US then use Seachem and suppliment with the N and P additives if necessary.

If you live in the UK then use TPN+ unless you have very high stocking and lower than 50% plantmass otherwise you MAY get away with TPN.

If you are dosing NPK via dry salts then use TPN or Flourish as trace dependent on your location and availability

Alternatively take the plunge, save yourself money and use all dry salts.
