I see these in my LFS but have never been tempted by them. The threads that I have seen people think they work OK but they wear out quickly. The active sensor needs to be replaced every month or so for them to keep working. The replacement sensors are sold next to the original devices at my LFS for about a third the price of the "alert" itself.
