Fish seem to like it the've dug loads of holes all round the rocks in the sand & i think it looks alot better but i'll let you decied ;)

Looks like a great improvement but I think I'd put 2-3 times as much rock in there for a malawi set up ;-)

Agreed; much, much better now but does need more rocks :)

I do have a couple more that i didn't put in, might have to look at getting some more. Rocks are expensive - Cost me £50 just for them!

what rock have you used

not sure, prehaps someone on here might be able to tell?

£50? really?

When I got my rocks I went to a local fencing and paving place that did rockery stone, I paid £45 for a bootful of granite (had to watch the back of the car over speedbumps lol) which got me all this (it's a 4.5 foot long tank for scale):

plus I had 2 or 3 rocks left over that I didn't use.

I brought them for 2 different fish shops so that's probably why they cost more. They were £2.50 per KG from the first place & £3.95 per KG from the second.

After the rescape all the fish seem to be hiding now and when i approach the tank they all hide. Is this normal behaviour because of the change? Will they get better as time goes on?

Tank looks good. A little tip... Becareful when placing the rocks. Make sure they are touching the bottom glass. If the rocks are resting on the substrate, it's only a matter of time before you Cichlids will dig underneath them, risking a falling rock. The fish will actually dig all the way down to the glass, in most instances. Just passing on my experience. I had a rock fall due to my africans digging around my rocks.
