I've gone from marine to fresh just recently and ive a few questions you guys might be able to help me with.
1) My setup was built for marine, so its got a sump with a skimmer in it and a deep sand bed, do i need either of these with cichlids? If not, what would be a better use of the space? (two compartments both 1ft square or so).
It seems like a bit of a waste having the sump under the tank with nothing in it.
2) I've 4 powerheads from the old setup, but ive been told you dont really need high flow in a freshwaer tank, am i being told porky pies?
3) ...i'll think of something im sure.
