Saying chiclid

For the longest time I pronounced it "Cichi-lill-ids"

But then found out it was Sick-lids. Now and then I hear myself call em Cichilids though

it took me a visit to the lfs to find out how it was said (of course i didn't just straight ot ask them coz i'd look stupid) and i found out that i said it the right way anyway

Sick-lids. Although it's not as big of a fight as with people who call bettas 'battas' (rhymes with data). I mean, huh?

Yeah, i had to ask what the guy at the lfs meant when he first said it. So im with the majority. "Sick-lids" all the way.

I asked about African "Psych-Lids" at the LFS ages ago, around the time I got my first tank....and the guy said "they are illegal in Australia"
