ive kept fish for a couple of years now, ive had three different tanks but ive alway used gravel. i really like the look of sand but i dont know anything about it. can someone give me an idea on the pros and cons of using sand/gravel. How do you clean sand?? do you still use a gravel-vac type thing??? if so doesnt the sand get sucked up too? Also, im sure someone told me once that if you use sand, you can get air pockets build up and the gas inside them can kill your fish?!
which frightened me off using sand! is this true?
