Sand Problems

Hi All,

I have recently added some white silica sand to my tank.

Now every time a Cory or a Plec decides to move all the sand swirls about and makes the water cloudy....is there anything i can do to eliminate this?

to be honest no.
if it were me, I'd either put up with it, remove the fish or change the sand to a heavier grain, like pool filter sand

id use something heavy. my tank has beach sand and that does not happen.

Did you rinse the sand THOROUGHLY prior to putting it in the tank?

I recently added sand to my tank (quite fine) and I don't have this problem as I rinsed in a bucket until the water was almost clear.
