Sand Or Gravel

I know i am asking this for about the 30000000th time BUT

i currently have a 5x2x2 tank with sand at the bottom (reason i had the sand was for the corys who are sadly not with us)

i also have some clown loachs and a L001 pleco - Do these guys need a soft substrate?

could i switch BACK to gravel?

its also to do with the unsightly look of poo collected ontop of the sand and the difficulty of vacuuming. i always found the gravel diguised this better and was easier to clean.

I would also be interested in some information on gravel filters... pros and cons, if theyre worth while having

Hi, i would stick with sand if you have loaches and a pleco. It looks better as well, just keep quite abit of water turn over and the sand should stay a little clearer.
