I was thinking of getting some dwarf croaking gouramis and therefore wanted a nice floating plants with a good root structure to make them feel secure.

I like Salvinia Natans, but I'm seeing a lot more frogbit for sale than the salvinia. So...is it just personal preference or is frogbit better in some way?

Thanks in advance.

If you want another alternative to the frogbit, I can say I've grown water lettuce successfully in my aquariums, to the point where I got sick of the bloody stuff and got rid of it. But the roots can grow nice and long, which would be great for the fish to hide in.
