i think it would be cool top have a saly wqater tank with clownfish but my mom wont let seeing they are so hard to maintain

My father said when the water evaporated the salt would go on the decorations.

Well salt can get on stuff if you dont have a cover over where the filter is because of the splash it makes. Salt cant get on stuff from evaporation because when the water evaporates it only bring water and leaves the salt behind so no it doesnt get on decorations from evaporation, only the splash of the filter.

Yep the salt is nasty stuff, lucky I got a hood and it's safer, but you can see alot of salt deposits on it. Bit of a hassle but I dont mind :)

IMO,the smallest size tank for a beginer to have a good chance
for success is a 55 gal.if you plan on starting with a 29,it certainly
can be done, but make sure you do plenty of reading and research
before you start, also make sure you fully understand the cycling
process-this is the most critical step in having a successful tank.

if your are still trying to get him to let you get it tell him it could go in his room

i dont see anymore work besides feeding your fish washing off the glass (i use a papper towel that is wet) but thats the same thing i do with my freshwatertanks :)

it does take a little more work cleaning out your protein skimmer once a week or so but you just dump it out and run it under a bit of water... -_-

i wonder why every ones' parents think this, mine dont

Hazmat,
It looks like you've got a lot of tangs. I heard that they can be agressive towards each other and that they need alot of space. I didn't think you could keep so many together, but you look like you know what your doing :D How are they?
