Hey,

Thought i'd add some new pics of my saltwater tank :) Nothing interesting going on in it at the moment but the new corals that came on the live rock are looking very nice and healthy and everything is still alive :D

Here's some pics..

What do you think?

Those little fish are the cutest little things! :D They do love to eat though

The tank is a juwel.. Not sure which number though, maybe 70? 15 gallons anyway :)

Ooh, nano tank. I've contemplated it before myself but when I do saltwater, it's going big. I'm going to get clowns too, but the "brother" variety. Black ones. :D Saltwater is so nice looking.

Hmm when i move into my own place i will have a jewel 15 gallon empty. :starts planning a see tank:

Thanks all!

I'd love to have a huge SW tank but unfortunately space (or lack of) is the problem and this was all i could have :( I think its looking ok though!

One thing i thought i'd mention though, a small sw tank doesn't work out much cheaper than a big one i think! Obviously you need more live rock for a big one, but you still need all the stuff for the tank and that works out expensive. So far i've spent about £200 on this tank and its nowhere near finished  It would have been a lot more though but a very nice person from another forum gave me half of that live rock, with corals, very cheap! :D

A good, cheap alternative to live rock is using "dead" rock that is inert. It will take time but eventually the organisms will colonize and make the dead rock "alive" as well.

everytime i look at a saltie tank i just feel envy envy envy, its lovely, i love our tropicals but id like to brave enough to attempt a marine tank :D

millvm...go for it..you can have both and join all the people here with 'MTS'. LOL.

Good work Jessica...your tank is coming along. You're actinodiscus look good. If you like them, they come in different colors. You can play around with them to see what height and flow they prefer. Keep up the good work. SH
