i found a salamander in a lfs i havent been in and they had a 3 inch japaneze salamander i think i wanna buy.

Just Kidding around, they get up to 5 feet why don't you go with something more like a Chinese Salamander okay okay still joking with you, how about a Tiger Salamander or something

Are you sure that that salamander is the same as in the google images? Those big salamanders are highly endangered, i doubt that you would find them at your pet store. Japanese salmanders isnt really a type of salamander, the petstore probably made the name up. All the pictures in google were probably called the "Giant japanese salmander", so they showed up.

I would like to see a pic of the one at the store if you could get a pic, or compare it to the pics online that we googled

OMG !!!! what an amasing animal! I had no idea they came even close to that size..... and I bet who ever buys it will also have no idea. although the chances of a LFS having one of those is pretty slim.... maybe it's just a reallt smaller look-alike salamander... i have lost around my house but they will only grow a few inches in length.
IF ONLY I HAD A HUGE TANK........
