about 4.50 3months ago but now i have upgraded my tank i thought i best find out what this fish really is ishould also say that he/she is about 5" long

Nope, its a synodontis eupterus i think ... someone will need to second that. Definaltely a synodontis thou

thanks for the imput will do a bit of reading up before introducing any more fish to the tank but i have had no problems so far. This is his new tank

I'm sure it's a synodontis eupterus, pleco's are flat againt the bottom and have a low profile unlike syno's, they also have a large sucker mouth and no wiskers unlike syno's

definately a syndontis eupterus fetherfin catfish. as theygrow there dorsal fingets great long extensions

I have one hes about 6 inches now and had one years ago about 9 inches long and they are a large fish in their general size

Yours is quite light as well they are usually a bit darker
