Yeh, you have changed the tank etc etc....but i think its more down to your overall attitude. If you look back at your posts, particularly concerning spawning tanks, you questioned it every time someone said minumum 10gallons as if they were going to turn around and change their minds. Questions are good, but there comes a point when everyone has to make some decisions for themselves.
A few weeks ago, you said you didn't really have room for a bigger tank cus you are limited for space. I know because I was helping you look for a tank that would fit in, both on the forum thread and through PM's.
You also said that you didn't want loads of fish and that you wouldn't be able to care for them, so were considering culling and leaving about 5.
So whats changed? Have you suddenly found that you can fit in a 20 gallon grow out tank? That you can accomodate possibly 200 fish? That you can seperate off possibly 100 males? And keep them heated? And look after them for 4-6 months! Because its flippin hard work! 100 water changes every other day, and thats if they are in at least a gallon each. Your looking at about 2-3 hours of work every other day with a big spawn, and an hour or so on the other days. And if you take a break from the regime you're likely to have losses.
I think most people got annoyed because this comes up again and again (spawning newly arrived fish). Like i said its not rocket science.
We spend a great deal of time and effort setting up a spawn, as do the other breeders here. Its not done on a whim, and even with planning you can run up against problems. I personally have around 80, 3 week old HMPK's at present and if my last PK spawn is anything to go by, I'll have to start seperating them in the next week or so. Thats because they started fighting at 4 weeks old!
So yeh, people did get annoyed at you. Asking advice is one thing, but researching and using common sense are another.
