I brought the Aquamode 600 tank second hand about 1 1/2-2 years ago.
When I purchased it it had some rust around the lighting unit area. Pictures here below.
I read on the internet that its fine, somewhat beneficial to the fish, is this true? The light unit has a cover over it. The rust is contained inside, but one of my bulbs has blown and I am in need of changing it.
So far, I haven't been able to open it. If I do open it, should I do something to try to remove the rust, in a way that doesnt harm the fish, perhaps? Or should I just leave it be?
So far the rust hasn't caused any dysfunction of the lights. Advice welcomed.

Chat just went down for me. just clean with chemicals to your liking.... just like you would in your kitchen. Make sure to dab off with wet towels sponges and don't use in a tank any time right away to be safe.

Basically just clean it. Good to go.

I don't clean the kitchen :/ but thanks for the advice :)
