I have decided to swap to Mr Snow as he seems more ready and Vigorous.
Maybe in a few weeks time i'll spawn sun, He just did not know what to do and Sun knew off the bat what the cup was there for.
I released a female earlier today before work and watched as the frustrated female hovered underneath the nest waiting for Sun to make a move the shimmying up to sun to draw him to the nest without success. Sun just went and hid behind the Slate. I guess he may be Too young to breed yet.
Anywhoo Lets see what comes out of Mr Snow. Whos colors changed from white to CandyFloss Pink body with Blue red hues today after making the nest.
Should be interesting:
Snows dad was a VT Multi and mum was a Blue with red wash Spade. Snow is a VT with his parents mix.
Good job i have the Large Bay Window to put the Deli Cups on when it comes time to seperate the males from the females. Can easily hold over 40 cups and a tank. Need to start feeding the Daphnia And Mozzies crushed spirulina to boost there nutritional value.
The offspring will be for sale in an LFS who will take them when big enough for sale, he's bored with his current suppliers scrappy males.

Snow AKA Snow Candy spawned all this morning while we went to town, Came back and eggs everywhere in the nest floating in the tank and on the floor of the tank.
Looks like he spawned with 3 of the 4 females. He must have been very Randy
Removed the females an hour ago and he is busy collecting eggs and being a very good father.
I watched the littlest female, as she swam up to him and nudged him to let him know she was ready then stayed completely vertical until he wrapped with her.
Looks like while we were gone the females have gorged themselves on the eggs that fell out and scattered around the tank. But still loads in the nest.
Turned off the filter and will put in a Arcadia sponge filter once fry are free swimming.
Will turkey baste the tank tonight once he has finished collecting eggs, carefully as there are lots of white worms that came off the bogwood, that they fry can eat.

No pix of spawning as missed most of it while shopping at Primark - WIFE gets 3 hours and i get 1 hour
to go to Topman, BHS, Envy, Next, Burtons, Now thats not fair. I will have to go in the morning as Envy is closing tomorrow and they have peter worth clothes in XXXXL so i am gonna empty them out.

Day 9
We have Wrigglers all over the tank - Can see a few conjoined fry in there aswell.
The nest he has destroyed since last night and is rebuilding - His kids are keeping him busy by swimming all over thank.
Added Java Moss that has been in the Daphnia tank for a year - so is loaded full of Daphnia and other live foods for the fry to eat.

Been a While.
Have not been well for a while and had to have surgery, Still recupperating.
So Spawn has suffered, Lost alot and have around 10 left.
Sun Died, Came home from work and an Apple snail was munching on him. So had to eutanise him.
The Surviving Fry look good and healthy and are Feeding on Live foods in the tank and Hikari Foods and Spirulina Enriched Daphnia.
Will try for pix tommorrow once the tank has had a clean.

oh sorry about your loss of sun, glad you still have some fry left though, hope the surgery was nothing too serious

Yep PolyCup, It just stays there. The nest was behind the Glass so it did not mve around. Also the Tons of Duckweed heklp it stay in place.
For the Gouramis i wedge the Cup between the glass and the Intake pipe for the External.
