Well this tetra is swimming at almost vertically and its been like this for about a year. But it is really strange.

So if anyone new that would be great!

Maybe swim bladder disease? if its for a year it might not be. My swordtail was doing samething for 2 months.

thanks, but would'nt swimmbladder disorder make it hardly swim at all?

It all depends on the swimbladder's problem. A fish will inflate its swimbladder so the fish rises and swims up in the water or it will deflate its swimbladder if it wants to swim down deeper in the water. If it cant deflate it, it will find it hard to swim down and could be seen swimming with its head down frantically swimming but not getting anywhere. I've seen neons like this when they eat lots of flake food, the lightness of lots of flake in their body's makes them keep rising to the surface so they keep swimming down but almost stay in the same place
