I have come accross some strange info on rummy-nose tetras.
It would seem that there are three seperate species that are
called rummy-nose tetras.
Hemigrammus bleheri
Rummy-nose tetra a.k.a. Firehead tetra
3.6 cm 23 - 26°C
Hemigrammus rhodostomus
(true)Rummy-nose tetra
5.0 cm tropical
Petitella georgiae
False Rummy-nose tetra a.k.a Rummy-nose tetra
3.9 cm 22 - 26°C
It would seem to me that I actually have firehead tetras
and not (true) rummy-nose.
Which ones do you have?
I wonder if anyone has the real rummy-nose
