rubber bands

are rubber bands ok in the tank? i need something to hold some plants together.

rubberbands would probly be OK short term but they may do some damage wrap one round your finger not too tightly for a while then take it off u'll find your finger go white if u leave it on long engough you would risk loosing the finger.

same applies to plants i supose

try using either fishing line tied loose enough to keep the plant down or cotton thread
