RT Black shark and Britle nose Pleco be OK together ??

First off, a lot of the time people at the LFS don't know what they're talking about. But in this case they are probably right.

I have two tank with Red tails and Bristlenoses and no probs here, red tail tend to worry more about other sharks, or fish a "cigar" tapered bodies, like swordtails than bottom dwellers like BN, plecs and corys
