rotala macranda

so... i bought some rotala macranda, and it's all dying. i looked on the tropica site, and i know the recommended variables, but i was wondering what the conditions were in other people's tanks where they are flourishing. i really like this plant and would like to bring mine to a flourishing point. thanks...

I've never grown the plant myself, but from what I've read it needs soft, acidic water. It also needs CO2 and high light to flourish. Basically, it's a very difficult plant to grow.
