Hi All.

Will my 14 Rosyfin tetras be fine if I get 14 Blue Danios

I have got a 25Gallon Corner Pentagon tank.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Are these 14 Rosy Tetra (Hyphessobrycon rosaceus) new?

We talked about the dimensions of your tank in your last thread, http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/402357-tetra-species-tank-any-suggestions/page__p__3386961#entry3386961, the squat dimensions of this tank make it only suitable for very sedate species and the low surface area for gaseous exchange means the tank needs to be stocked low.

If it does indeed hold 96l, you have got 14x4cm adult size fish in there now in the form of those tetras, 56cm. This tank is stocked, no more room in the inn, job done.

SeriouslyFish suggests at least 60cm long tanks for these tetras and such a tank is only suitable for a small group (which they usually regard as 6) in a 70l tank. At least having it as a species only tank will prevent another thing they mention, namely not competing well for food, plus the 14-strong group should keep them happy.

However, I fear this group might need an upgrade from this pentagon corner tank before they reach adulthood.
