Hello All,

I have two Rosy Barbs, both are female, and I am a bit concerned as they seem to keep fighting on and off most of the time.

I have consulted the guy that sold me the fish @ pets at home, and he says that this is 'normal'. At the beginning they just chased each other round in circles and yes, I thought this was perfectly normal, but now they are just going at each other, and it just doesn't seem right at all to me so I'd just like some more opinions.

Here is a quick video:

Thanks.

They're best kept in larger groups to decrease aggression.
Is your tank big enough to house a few more?

Yes, I did mention the same thing as you've just said above, but he seemed to think this would be fine, and in my eyes, It's clearly not.

I have Baby biOrb mate and as you'll know they aren't too big.

In that case I'd try & rehome them as a baby biorb isn't big enough unfortunately.
Like you, I took bad advice from a chain store, luckily I found this forum & now know better

Yeah, that seems like the way forward. Looking at them closely, I can even see where the scales on each fish have been picked at.

I don't have a clue why the guy @ Pets at home thinks this is normal :/

From previous experiences, forums are indeed the best source of information.

Thanks Cazgar.
