Room For More?

going off of the info on my sig... do i have room for more in the 55gal? I plan on getting a bristlenose plec yet...

speaking of which, I tried one last week and it died within 3 days... acclimated it properly... water tested out fine. brought it back to the pet store, and they replaced it... well, this one lasted only a day and a half. same procedures followed. water fine. tank has been very stable for months with the exception of my old plec that died a few weeks ago... i find it hard to believe it was bad fish, as i trust this store and they have good quality fish, but not sure what could have caused it...?

searching for opinions!

May not be enough room or oxygen bn must have high oxygenated water that essensial if they keep dying i wld give up

Just a thought, what are the plants you have in the tank and where they in there the entire time prior to your old plec dieing? If the plants are only fairly new and not true acquaitc plants they may have been toxic to the plec' s when they nibbled on them. One such plant that springs to mind for being toxic and often sold as an aquaitc plant (which it isn') is Deiffebachia or Dumb Cane.

i believe i have two ozelot swords that have been in for over 3+ months, two anubias nanas which have been in there maybe 2+months, and then some anacharis lining the background also 2+ months...
