would it be possible to have this combination in my 125 tank

1m strippped panchax and 2-3 females
african bush fish (not sure on numbers)
congo tetra x7
bn plec
2 apistos

i wouldnt keep congo tetras in anything under a 4 foot tank they love to swim thats my opinion

the problem with the neons is that they are too small as the panchax will hunt them as will the bushfish. i really need a deaper bodied tetra

Not sure on your suggestions, but a huge group of cardinal tetras against a planted 'background' would look stunning - you could always have some corys on the bottom for extra interest
