Rock Ph Question

I am starting a new tank and have decided to use some flagstone. I have heard that some rocks will affect the Ph in the tank. How can I tell if the rocks I put in the tank will affect the Ph and are flagstone rocks ok to use?

Pour vinegar on it. If it fizzes, dont use it.

Unless its for a rift vally set up then it can help maintain your hard alkaline water you need. Youd have to test the flagstone though im not sure how it would react.
